About Our Theme
Blueprint for Connection: Building Future Ready Schools
Our schools live in a VUCA world. As volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity increase, teachers face an increased need for resilience and adaptability. This year's conference will focus on how teachers can build community to support each other as we prepare ourselves, our colleagues and our students for a dynamic world.
We will focus on four pathways as we explore this work:
- Adapting Pedagogical Approaches: Exploring innovative teaching methods and approaches that cater to the evolving needs and learning styles of students.
- Building And Supporting Community: Building inclusive programs and practices to support each other, especially those most vulnerable in our communities.
- Cultivating Wellness: Providing strategies for educators and students to support resilience and strategies for ongoing success in the face of uncertainties and challenges.
- Embracing Technological Adaptations: Growing our skills and competencies around AI and new technology will be required to help ourselves and our students navigate the future and assess the role of such tools on future-ready schools.
As we explore these themes and put them to work, attendees will leave with big ideas to share and strategies to put into practice that will empower school communities to navigate and make the best of a changing world.
Join your NWAIS colleagues this October to start the journey to becoming future-ready schools.

This policy applies to a school’s total travel expenses (not the cost of rooms and meals), no matter how many people the school sends to the workshop. If your school spends more than $150 dollars on travel for this event and is traveling a distance greater than 250 miles you will be reimbursed a percentage of your expenses.
